EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMMING
EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION. Ralston Public Schools provides early childhood special education programming for students birth to school age that live in the Ralston school district. Services that support a child's Individual Family Services Plan or Individual Education Plan are available for students who qualify for additional supports through Special Education. If you believe your child may be in need of services, please contact Sandy Harral, Secretary of Student Services, at 402-331-4700.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN (4 YEAR OLDS). Ralston Public Schools provides a pre-kindergarten program for 4 year olds who meet the criteria set forth in the enrollment information. The program focuses on meeting students cognitive, language, physical, academic, and social-emotional needs through a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
HOME VISITOR & FAMILY FACILITATOR PROGRAM. The home visitor and family facilitator programming is supported through the Superintendent's Early Childhood Plan. Ralston Public Schools has three school sites: Karen Western, Meadows, and Mockingbird. In partnership with Buffett Early Childhood Institute, the goal of the program is to support youngest learners as they develop and grow within the school and Ralston community.
