Expectations for Speech-Language
Students are expected to follow school rules while participating in speech-language therapy:
- Be Safe
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
Elementary students are given the opportunity to earn stickers and small prizes for following rules and putting forth excellent effort during speech sessions.
Student's will be working on achieving speech and language goals identified on his/her annual Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This will help to enhance student's abilities to achieve in the classroom environment.
Articulation Skills: Children will be focusing on producing age-appropriate speech sounds.
Language Skills: Children will be focusing on receptive and expressive language abilities.
Listening Skills: Children will be building listening skills through aural (re)habilitation.
