A bit more about me
I grew up in Colorado and moved to Nebraska for college. I spent my first 2 years of undergrad at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and then transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to finish up my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I then moved back to Kearney for my graduate coursework in School Psychology.
In 2003 I did a year-long internship at Mockingbird Elementary before receiving my Educational Specialist. In 2004 I became a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I worked at Mockingbird from Fall 2003-Spring 2012. In the fall of 2012 I transferred to Karen Western Elementary. During the Spring of 2013 I started working at Meadows Elementary once a week in addition to 4 days at Karen Western. The 2013-2014 school year brought some changes and I'm now working at Karen Western, Meadows, and the High School.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons. We love traveling to visit family and friends, trips to the zoo, and visits to the park. I love reading and am always open to suggestions for my next book!
One of my favorite quotes is from Sir Winston Churchill:
"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."
